My company, Sweet Cakes by Mel, is rooted in the belief that the needs of the customers I work with are the most important aspect of my work. I believe it is for this reason that such a high percentage of my cake business comes from referrals and repeat customers. Ever since I was a little girl, I have had a love for baking; first in my Mother’s kitchen, and today in my design studio. I consider myself to be fortunate enough to love what I do: design & create flavorful, beautiful cakes.
I love being able to work independently to design & create a memorable and unique cake customized for your individual special Occasion. Using the experience I gained under the guidance of the artisans at Christopher Garren’s Cakes, I have gained expertise in cutting edge techniques, as well as traditional methods. Sweet Cakes by Mel features couture cupcakes, elegant wedding cakes, and luxury cupcakes, just to name a few of the options you have open to you. From clean, simple designs to sophisticated or dramatic, I aim to design & create a cake that will reflect your personal desires and style.
